Making Money with Affiliate Programs

One of the greatest ways to make money online is with affiliates networks. I think if you're serious about making a money-machine website, not only you need to display Google Adsense ads, but you should also have some affiliate links on your website.

Affiliate programs where born on the internet in the late 90s and it quickly became known as the best way to make money online until Google Adsense beat it out in 2003.

But thanks to affiliate programs, today webmasters continue to pour thousands of dollars in their pockets.

What is an Affiliate Program?

So what's the fuss all about, you ask?

There are major companies out there that would pay you to send visitors to their website only if they buy a product from the company's website.

That means every time you send a visitor to their website from your own website and if he or she purchases a product or service, you will earn money in commission. For example, you can earn 10% of the amount that the customer you sent has paid to the company.

All you have to do is sign up with a company (affiliate program) and post your own affiliate link on your website. If you want them to buy a particular product, they must click on your own affiliate link, so that the process can be tracked.

You can enter in your account and find out if any of the visitors you sent has bought a product when they visited your company's website. If they did, then it will be written on your account the amount you made off of them in commission, so everything is tracked by the company.

And after you reach the payout, the affiliate program will pay you by check or by Pay Pal. Some people make thousands of dollars per month. In fact, they literally make a living from these programs.

Affiliates' Products

So what kind of products do affiliate program offer, you ask?

Don't worry about that. Affiliate networks often sell thousands of all sorts of products. I'm pretty sure there will be some that are related to your website's subject. There are all sorts of products to choose from.

There are also other affiliate programs that only sell a category of products. So if you want to join an affiliate network that is related to your website's topic, you just have to search for one on search engines.

How can you be successful with affiliate networks and make a living from them

Well, trying to make a living off of affiliate programs is obviously something very tough to do. The fact is you can, but it takes a lot of hard work, time and patience.

But I think that 95% of the public might never be able to make a living with affiliate programs. However, that doesn't mean you can't make a decent amount of money with affiliate programs.

The question that you should be asking is how you can become successful at doing this. Yes, it will still take a lot of hard work and time, but you can definitely earn around 300-1000 dollars per month if you can it seriously.

Ask anyone in the affiliate marketing field, they will all give you the same answer.

You simply need to build a rich website filled with massive information. You really need to choose a topic that you would love to write about all the time.

Once you build this website and start attracting visitors, you can then start adding affiliate links. You can refer to your visitors products that you have reviewed and recommend them to buy it by clicking your affiliate link.

I'm not saying that you must bombard your website with affiliate links, but just add some here and there. And when you review a certain product, don't just write 3 sentences about it.

You need to write at least 500 words by naming the good and yes, the bad aspects of the product you're recommending. Be 100% honest with them, because everyone loves honest people.

I mean it would be wrong to only write about the positive aspects without mentioning the negative ones. Adding bad aspects also shows the buyer that you're an honest person. And that's the only way they will trust you.

But the bottom line is as I've said in the other page, you need to have a quality website with plenty of pages and of course traffic.
