Microsoft FrontPage

If you really want a more and less, "beginner" program, you should go with Microsoft FrontPage. Actually, Microsoft FrontPage is used by many professional experts, mainly because of its impressive features that it comes with.

The truth is that there many people who know very little about programming and they can still create professional website since Microsoft FrontPage doesn't really require you to be an expert.

If you've used Microsoft Word before, it's almost exactly like it. Even just like Cool Page, you drag and drop or write on it. I don't want to relate Microsoft FrontPage to Cool Page because Cool Page is far from being professional software. It's as I said, especially good for real beginnings.

Basically, you create your Web page as Microsoft FrontPage writes the HTML code for you.

Unlike Cool Page, Microsoft FrontPage allows you to create a website where you can update the menu of all your Web pages with a "single click", thanks to the feature "Shared Border". However, in version 2003, this feature is called Dynamic "Web Template", but it's literality the same thing, except they changed its name.

I know I insist a lot about this feature and the reason why I do is because it's very important for you to be able to control your whole website. You don't want to waist your time by updating every Web page individually. That would take forever, if you had like more than 100 pages.

Remember that you want to expand your website and normally be able to control everything, except the content, which does not need to be updated constantly.

There are of course a lot of other worth to mention features such as having a photo album, adding a search engine to your website or a feedback form, etc.

It really has every feature you need to build a professional looking website. Except, like any other Microsoft software and unlike Cool Page, it takes time to understand how Microsoft FrontPage works.

If you're interested, I strongly recommend you to buy it from the internet, because if you buy from a store it's far more expensive and you know how Microsoft programs are. They are and want to be taken seriously, so it's perfectly normal for them to be expensive.
